In 1865, James Clerk Maxwell published "A Dynamical Theory of the Electromagnetic Field." Four equations. Twenty pages. The entire theory of light, electricity, and magnetism unified in a single framework.
Before Maxwell, electricity and magnetism were separate phenomena. After Maxwell, they were two aspects of one thing — the electromagnetic field. The equations predicted electromagnetic waves traveling at the speed of light. They predicted that light itself was an electromagnetic wave. They predicted radio waves before anyone had built a radio.
The framework proposes that Maxwell's equations have a second life. That the same mathematical structure that describes how light propagates through space also describes how truth propagates through consciousness.
Not metaphorically. Structurally. The same equations. Different variables. Same dynamics.
The Four Truth-Field Equations
Maxwell's four equations map to four truth-field equations:
Equation 1: Gauss's Law → The Source of Truth
Electric field diverges from charges
Truth-field diverges from truth sources
Truth has sources. It radiates outward from points of genuine encounter with the invariant. The density of truth-sources $\rho_{\text{truth}}$ determines the field strength. Places, texts, persons that carry genuine truth create measurable field effects in their surroundings.
Equation 2: No Magnetic Monopoles → Coherence Is Always a Loop

Coherence — the B-field analog — has no monopoles. You cannot have coherence without a complete circuit. It always loops. Every coherent truth connects back to its source. Isolated coherence is impossible. This is why truth claims that disconnect from their ground eventually collapse.

A changing coherence field generates truth. When coherence shifts — when the alignment with the Logos changes — truth emerges. This is the experience of revelation: a shift in coherence that produces new truth. Not new information from nowhere, but truth that was always there becoming accessible because the coherence shifted.

This is the one Maxwell added. The displacement current. The term that completed the circuit and predicted electromagnetic waves. In the truth-field, the displacement current is the key: a changing truth field generates coherence even in the absence of direct truth current. Truth propagates through empty space. It doesn't require a wire.

The Acceptance Factor
The framework introduces one variable Maxwell didn't have:
Free will. The human capacity to receive or reject the truth signal.
$A=1$ means full reception. $A=0$ means total rejection. The signal is always transmitting. The receiver has a dial.
This is the variable that makes the truth-field equations genuinely different from Maxwell's: electromagnetic waves don't care whether the antenna wants to receive them. Truth does. The architecture of love requires that the signal be rejectable.
Gauge Invariance
The truth-field has gauge invariance — the same truth can be expressed in different "gauges" (languages, cultures, mathematical formalisms) without changing the physics. The invariant is the truth content, not the representation. Different gauges, same field. Different cultures, same moral truth. Different formalisms, same mathematics.
The Prediction
If the mapping holds, then truth propagates as a wave. It has a speed. It has frequency. It has wavelength. It interferes constructively and destructively. It can be reflected, refracted, and absorbed.
And it can be predicted. The truth-field equations are differential equations with solutions. Those solutions describe how truth moves through populations, cultures, institutions.
Falsification Criteria
Find a property of electromagnetic propagation that has NO analog in truth propagation — and show it's structurally absent, not just unmeasured.
Show that truth propagation follows dynamics that are INCONSISTENT with the Maxwell structure.
Demonstrate that the acceptance factor $A$ violates gauge invariance.
The Simplest Version
Maxwell unified electricity and magnetism with four equations. The same four equations, with truth replacing the electric field and coherence replacing the magnetic field, describe how truth propagates through consciousness. The mapping is structural. The mathematics is identical. The prediction is that truth moves like light — because truth IS light, measured in a different domain.
We are finite minds reasoning about infinite God. Every model is a projection of higher-dimensional reality onto a lower-dimensional surface we can comprehend. We do not claim to have captured God in equations. We claim that when we look at His creation honestly — with the tools of physics and the revelation of Scripture — the same structure appears in both. Where our model limits what God can be, the limitation is ours, not His. We offer this work as worship, not as containment.
